Located on Daufuskie Island, this course is situated around several lagoons. Minimal amenities allow golfers to enjoy natural beauty, undisturbed, and the eagle and Osprey's nest on the 17th and 15th holes, respectively, hint at the wildlife that occasionally inhabit the area. Designed by Tom Weiskopf and partner Jay Morrish, the 72-par course is less challenging than its counterpart, Melrose. The ferry for Daufuskie departs from 421 Squire Pope Road on Hilton Head (call 843-341-4870 for ferry rates, reservations and schedules).

The Harbour Town Golf Links course is perennially considered one of top courses in the USA and is one of Southeast's true must-play courses. If the name sounds familiar, that's because Harbour Town is home to the PGA Tour's Heritage Classic. This long trek is demanding and features flat terrain and small, sloping greens.
