Get away from the hustle and bustle of Hilton Head and spend a day in this charming village located west of Hilton Head off Highway 278. There are about a dozen historic homes, a beautiful 1857 Gothic-style Church of the Cross, and the classic revival 1853 Campbell Chapel AME Church whose members have held services for over 100 years. These are the only structures to survive destruction during the Civil War.
